The pediatric visit

The pediatric visit

The pediatric visit is your kitten's first visit to the veterinarian. It usually takes place around 8 weeks or shortly after the adoption.

This visit makes it possible to carry out a complete clinical examination of the kitten and thus to check its state of health, to estimate the age and to check the sex if they are not known, to check the good growth, the identification, the absence of parasites (fleas, ear infections, etc.)

This is also a good time to take stock of the behavior, as well as the diet and antiparasitic treatments best suited to your kitten.

It is also during the pediatric visit that vaccinations are initiated or updated.
