Preventive medecine

Preventive medecine

The purpose of preventive medicine is to preserve the good health of your animal as well as to identify and limit the risks of its degradation. Many topics are covered during these visits: vaccination, protection against internal and external parasites, diet, growth, dental hygiene, sterilization, as well as screening for certain genetic diseases depending on the breed.

Consultation:

The preventive medicine consultations will be different depending on the stage of life of your
animal:
Several milestones are to be monitored in particular:

PEDIATRIC VISITS:

They correspond to our first encounters with your animal and allow us to lay the foundations for its health monitoring. This is a pivotal period, important for the implementation of the vaccination plan as well as all the actions that will constitute your new daily life with your animal (anti-parasitics, food, education, hygiene, etc.)

THE PUBERTY VISIT:

This visit takes place at the time of puberty, and allows you to take stock of your dog's health before entering adulthood (teeth, growth).
It is also a period when you have to be vigilant about behavior that can change quickly and when you can consider sterilization, which greatly reduces the appearance of certain pathologies (breast tumours, pyrometers, prostate hyperplasia, circumanalomes , etc…)
ANNUAL HEALTH VISITS:

It's the annual visit to the vetcourse (in humans, this would be the equivalent of going to see your doctor every 5 or 7 years depending on the breed), during which we take stock with you of the past year, the potential changes in your animal , his weight, his behavior, the antiparasitics, the food, and during which we carry out his vaccinations.

SENIOR VISITS:

When your animal ages, it becomes even more important to be vigilant on certain points, and to carry out screening visits, which can be accompanied by blood tests in order to monitor the main organs (kidneys, liver, blood sugar, etc.) ).

When anomalies are discovered during preventive medicine consultations, additional examinations or appropriate care are systematically offered to you and an estimate is produced.
